The Anzac Sports Challenge

I'm looking to play a 11-a-side friendly against during the build up to a sports event. The event in question is the Anzac Sports Challenge. You can find details on the website about last years event www.anzacsportschallenge.com.

My role is player/manager for the Australian Select 11 football team (London Socceroos). I'm looking for 3 games with different opponents, all Sunday fixtures on 13th of April this year. The venue is Barn Elms down in Putney.

The ANZAC Sports Challenge is a sports gala day in London to bring the two great nations of Australia and New Zealand together for a day of remembrance and respect for the ANZACs from 1915 and thereafter.

2008 will be the 3rd annual Sports Challenge and the second for the prestigious ANZAC Challenge Shield that will be competed for between representative teams comprising of Australian and New Zealanders living in the UK. The ANZAC Challenge Shield will be awarded to the winning nation at the end of the days play.

As well as great sport action there will be a New Zealand and Australian expo village with all your favourite goodies from back home as well as information for people looking at relocating to New Zealand or Australia.

The ANZAC Sports Challenge is the only place to be if you're not making the trek to Gallipoli!
